bio

Kairogen is a DJ and producer based in Glasgow, moving through house, techno, electro and beyond. A resident at La Cheetah Club and founder of Kairoscapes, her beginnings in DJing were formed through years spent working at Sub Club, absorbing the room night after night before ever stepping behind the decks herself. That grounding, paired with a classical violin background and a lifelong experience experimenting with visual art, gives her a sound built on both discipline and instinct - one that still carries an ear for atmosphere and narrative in everything she plays and produces.

She has close ties to Headset, and has warmed up for the likes of Slam, Call Super, Dax J, and Avalon Emerson, as well as appearances at some of Scotland’s biggest festivals, moving fluidly across styles and tempos to suit the room. Her work has also drawn strong support from Sub Club. Alongside her own sets, she co-hosts the Dub Series on Radio Buena Vida with Danny Greenman - a show originally founded with the late Niamh Jobson, which has since picked up a Resident Advisor Mix of the Day. Her productions have found homes on Soma and Space Textures, and alongside her club-focused output she holds a genuine passion for creating ambient music, a space where that same instinct for atmosphere gets to stretch out.
